Bright Colors for Spring!

Hey everyone. Lately I have been obsessed with bright colors now that the sun is out in lovely Nashville! I can’t believe I am graduating from college in just over a month. BIG NEWS: I am moving to New York City to tackle the real world after I get my diploma. I could not be more thrilled. As you might know, when I first started my channel back in 2010 I was living in Brooklyn as an intern for mark Cosmetics. I just loved working in the beauty industry and I can’t imagine myself in any other field, so I’m taking on the Big Apple! I am going up there next week to do a few interviews and meetings so please keep your fingers crossed for yours truly (sneak peek-I’ll be visiting the BirchBox offices!) In other great news, I am officially the new Style Editor for The Vagina Zine, an amazing zine for women with amazing contributions ranging from feminist issues, style and even poetry and prose. It’s based in Austin and run by my friend Hillary-Anne, who I adore. I love being a part the zine! As for the looks; I paired my favorite bright pieces (and threw in some jeans, of course) for my little spring lookbook. See them in action with the video! Please comment telling me your favorite look.

Pieces from the Lookbook:

Peach Top with white Polka Dots – Forever 21

Yellow Skirt: Philip Lim (purchased at Buffalo Exchange)

Blue accordion pleat top: Urban Outfitters

Blue top with ruffles: Banana Republic

Yellow top: Buffalo Exchange

Pink Skirt: Forever 21

Jeans: BDG for Urban Outfitters

Belt: Old Navy

Nude Heels: Zara (bought in France)

Espadrilles: Banana Republic

For the beauty look, I thought the brighter the better. I was inspired by a look a shot for SXSW street style. The girl rocked bright yellow with a bright pink lipstick and winged black liner. I wore the hair soft and wavy to avoid any harshness with the bold colors. Don’t forget to comment with your favorite look.
