My Favorite Retro-Inspired Looks

My love for retro and vintage inspired looks started early on. In my early teens I toyed with cat-eye glasses and petticoats (well I really wanted one but I never managed so save enough allowance to afford one). I love incorporating vintage touches into my looks whether it’s just a retro silhouette or a full on pin-up look. Today I’m sharing a few of my all-time favorite retro outfits! Be sure to comment below with your favorite look of the bunch. Hope you guys are enjoying these round-ups – it’s been way too cold to shoot and I’ve been under the weather for the past few weeks. xo

A classic pin-up look with my signature polka dots, a red scarf and a classic cola! {Original post here} {Shop dress here}
 A little bit sweet, a little bit edgy it’s like good Sandy meets bad Sandy in Grease. This gorgeous pink midi is one of my absolute favorites – would you believe it’s from H&M?! {Original post here} {Shop skirt hereAn oldie from the archives – this look, shot in Prospect Park back in 2012 paired a vintage skirt with a bright blue blouse and bold accessories. {Original post here}One of my favorite and most daring looks, I am jealous for the sun just looking at this outfit. High-waisted shorts a crop top and retro accessories are perfect for a hot summer day in the city. {Original post here}

A twist on a vintage look. I adore this Paris print skirt from Pin Up Couture paired with an edgy crop top from Nasty Gal and modern sandals. {Original post here}

I liked the polka dot dress from the first photo that I also got it in Pink! Another full on pin up look that was very popular (on the blog and on the streets!) I love these adorable lace-up shoes from Seychelles. If you’re looking for comfortable vintage-inspired heels, Seychelles is the way to go. I adore their shoes! {Original post here}My “pin up in the desert” look was captured so elegantly by my favorite LA photog Grant Legan on our blogger roadtrip to Palm Desert for the Lacoste Pool Party! It was fun to create a whole new dimension to a business-like outfit. {Original post here}Yes, another polka dot look! This retro look created quite a splash. Easily my favorite swimsuit, this red one-piece is flattering and eye catching. Paired with high-waisted shorts & my favorite red scarf, it really completed the ‘pin up on the beach’ look. {Original post hereLastly, an outfit that’s more vintage-inspired than pin-up, I love this floral frock from Anthropologie. It has a timeless look that’s super flattering and just an all around showstopper. {Original post here
