French Chic with Uniqlo

I first heard of Ines de la Fressange when I was reading one of my favorite books “All You Need to Be Impossibly French” back in high school. I was obsessed with French culture and the book featured quotes from French style icon de la Fressange. I never forgot her words of wisdom, this quote in particular stuck with me over the years, “You should always follow fashion a bit but don’t forget your own style.” When Uniqlo asked me to partner with them for the launch of their Spring collection with de la Fressange, I agreed without hesitation! I shopped at Uniqlo‘s SoHo location and fell in love with so many of the French chic yet understated pieces. For my first look I picked this blouse that reminded me of the ubiquitous grid paper used in French notebooks. I paired it with my signature bright red with a flowy ponte skirt from the collection and sweet bow heels. I had a blast shooting this look in the studio with Zach and channeling my inner French girl, but keeping it me just like de la Fressange taught me so many years ago.
Special thanks to Uniqlo for sponsoring this post! Photos: Zach Hyman
