Chartreuse Trench on the Waterfront

I’m so excited to be working with Maison Jules this season on an exciting video project called “Am I French Yet?” where I talk about Parisian style, dining out in France and more. One of my favorite things about Springtime is bringing out my trenchcoats. I remember the first time I visited France when I was 15 I was amazed by how many women I saw wearing gorgeous trenchcoats. I hadn’t seen many of these in my hometown in Kentucky. To me, they began to epitomize French chic. Now I have a plethora of them in different shades. They are perfect for that transitional springtime weather where it’s too cold to go without a jacket but you can still ditch your heavy winter coat. I love this chartreuse one from Maison Jules. The cut is so elegant and I just adore the pop of bright yellow color. I got so many compliments wearing this trenchcoat while shooting at the Williamsburg waterfront this weekend. The color really popped against the sunset over the water looking out onto the Manhattan skyline. I paired the jacket with a lovely new Maison Jules gingham dress and bright red heels.
