Mini Bootcamp with Old Navy Active

About 6 months ago I decided to make a change for myself and my health. I started a new workout routine and cut back on unhealthy foods and I’m happier and more in shape than I’ve ever been! Growing up our family always shopped at Old Navy and I especially love their activewear so I was so excited when they asked me to create a mini-bootcamp challenge! I absolutely love being outside, especially in the summer and exercising outdoors is fun and motivating! As a warm up I rode a CitiBike from Greenpoint to Brooklyn Bridge Park, just under 6 miles. I love riding and it its a great low-impact workout. Once I got to the beautiful park (talk about fitness with a view) I started my solo mini-boot camp. All you need is a stopwatch – I just use my iPhone!

Jog for 1 minute
20 push ups
20 mountain climbers
20 jumping jacks
20 walking lunges
20 second plank
Jog for 1 minute

Repeat 3 times

Try and stay really quick on your feet to get the full benefits of this high intensity interval training (also know as HIIT) workout. Be sure to also drink tons of water to stay hydrated! As for the workout gear, I really appreciate lightweight pieces that wick sweat and keep you dry, especially on a sweltering day in the City. I chose the Old Navy Go-Dry Run tank with breathable mesh on the back and the Compression Mesh Panel Crops which are super high waisted! As for the sports bra – which is always my favorite part of any workout look, I nabbed this Strappy Cami bra in an adorable Palm Print. The look is super comfortable and even more importantly super breathable, essential for a sweaty outdoor workout. Thanks again to Old Navy for sponsoring this post.
