The First Snow of the Season

Up until a few days ago it had been an unseasonably warm winter in New York City (not that I was complaining!) This weekend we got hit with our first bout of snow and freezing temps. My skin always gets very dry come the first chill but this year I was ready with my favorite deep moisturizer, Vaseline Intensive Care advanced repair. Before putting on my makeup and heading out in the cold, I applied the lotion which is clinically proven to heal very dry skin in just 5 days. I especially like that it is unscented so I can layer my favorite fragrances without worrying about competing scents. I apply generous amounts to all over especially concentrating on my hands, neck and decollate which sometimes come in direct contact with the cold, windy air. It’s always good to be prepared with a heavy yet non-greasy lotion this time of year and I highly recommend the Vaseline Intensive Care advanced repair. After slathering on the lotion I headed into the chill with Gerhard. We went to one of my favorite places in Williamsburg, the Farm on Kent, for a little winter adventure. The adorable plot of land sells fruits and vegetables throughout the year and overlooks the Manhattan skyline. We took a long walk and caught snowflakes on our tongues! After that we headed to a delicious ramen joint called Samurai Mama to warm up with some Udon noodles.
