Decorating for Halloween

I
love Halloween! It’s one of my favorite holidays. Ever since I was a kid I
loved dressing up for the occasion from princess to pizza boy to pirate. My mom
always brought her A-game with the decorations and even just last week she
texted me a photo of her taking her goblins and witches out of storage. I was
feeling unmotivated to decorate this year however with my small space and crazy
schedule until I stopped by the Grandin Road pop-up at Macy’s Herald Square. I
was so inspired by their otherworldly display! Halloween really came to life.
Spooky but delightful – even the floor creeks when you walk across it! I highly
recommend it to New Yorkers or visiting tourists. I was so enchanted that I
picked up a few items for dress up and dressing up my home.

For
a glamorous get-up I first picked a full-length skirt with layers of black glittering
and crinkled tulle. It even comes with a removable bow sash to accentuate the
waist! I also found these chic Halloween headbands, some I worked into my décor
but I wore my favorite ‘batty’ one with my skirt. For a final creepy touch, I
added this scarily realistic werewolf wrap. The eyes are eerie! I caused quite
a stir taking these photos near my apartment in Greenpoint, the kids were
loving it!

I also decked out my apartment in Halloween-themed décor
with some of my favorite pieces from Grandin Road. First I transformed the bar
into a BOO-zy haven with a candy-corn cocktail shaker, decadent black stemware
& witch leg bottle stoppers. For the coffee table I used the werewolf wrap
as a centerpiece and table runner. I decorated with the incredibly chic WhiteCeramic Pumpkin set and used the Halloween headbands as décor on my spider-y
ladder.

If you’re in NYC and want to get into the Halloween spirit I
highly recommend the Grandin Road Pop-up at Macy’s Herald Square. It’s truly a
unique experience not to be missed. It’s open daily until Oct 31!

Special
thanks to Macy’s x Grandin Road for sponsoring this post!
